Michael Jordan's son Marcus Jordan hasn't been shy about publicly defending Jordan Brand, and today he took to Twitter to share a strong message to those who doubt the brand his father built. After tweeting about seeing the 2016 holiday lineups from Nike and Jordan Brand, Jordan expressed his reaction by referencing a line from brand endorser Drake's song "Summer Sixteen."
Jordan Brand and Nike are still putting up huge numbers, but they have been the targets of some criticism, including the infamous "Facts" track from Kanye West, and Jordan has definitely taken notice. We're accustomed to the brand bringing the heat with retro sneakers, but Jordan let it be known that there would be more than just hot retro releases this year. "People claiming only heat is Retro. Lol y'all gone see," said Jordan. Now that he's the owner of a new sneaker store, it's not surprising to see Jordan going so hard for the brand. (viaCOMPLEX)
